Gregory B. Bierer, MD Appointed Lead Physician in Sleep Medicine, Division of Pulmonology
In partnership with the UCLA Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, Clinical Immunology and Allergy, the UCLA Department of Medicine (DoM) would like to announce a reorganization of the clinical leadership for the Sleep Medicine Section.
Gregory B. Bierer, MD has assumed the role of lead physician for the Sleep Medicine Section within the UCLA Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, Clinical Immunology and Allergy. Dr. Bierer will oversee clinical sleep medicine operations within the DoM and collaborate closely with department and division leadership, including regional medical directors and clinic leaders. Dr. Bierer brings a wealth of experience to this role, and we expect continued excellence and innovation under his leadership.

We extend our gratitude to Ravi S. Aysola, MD for his dedicated service over the years in helping to develop the Sleep Medicine Section into a highly skilled and committed team focused on excellent patient care, research and education.
Dr. Aysola will continue to lead the UCLA Health Sleep Disorders Center as the center’s director. We look forward to the ongoing success of the Sleep Medicine Section, both within the department and throughout UCLA Health. The collaborative efforts of Dr. Bierer, Dr. Aysola and our talented group of sleep specialists, will ensure that UCLA Health remains a leader in sleep medicine.
