“I received a bunch of Valentine’s Day cards. I’m so lucky,” grins Shaz Moghadam (Pictured 2nd from right), a first-year student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. “They’re from my closest friends here, but I consider them my family. We all met during intro week, and I’m so grateful to have met them so early on in my medical career. We’re hoping to all get together tonight and have a fun movie night. I think it’s important to show your appreciation and love for the people around you.”
