“I hope that the staff or nurses who have put their poster presentations together understand the importance of their work and how they are contributing to making UCLA Health world-class,” reflects Karen Grimley, PhD, MBA, RN, FACHE, chief nursing executive for UCLA Health. “The 18th annual UCLA Nursing Research & Evidence-Based Practice Conference is a really neat opportunity. The poster presentations are for nurses who have been innovative or creative, have ideas they want to vet, or want to research something important to them and their patients. This is a chance for them to humbly showcase the things they do that make a difference every day. This helps some people realize they want to go back to school or learn more about research. This is an opportunity for nurses to enjoy the day, enjoy what they do, and understand that they do extraordinary things in the course of their ordinary day.”
