A Really Good Decision

UCLA Health article

I did not experience any symptoms but since I have scoliosis, I had some xrays that revealed some osteopenia. My primary care physician ran some tests and noticed my calcium was high. He referred me to an endocrinologist who ran a scan and then referred me to Dr. Yeh. I had an adenoma and a possible cyst. I was very pleased with the pre-op planning including conversations with the anesthesiologist. The surgery itself was very smooth. I had virtually no pain. I had some discomfort swallowing but that went away after taking 1 Tylenol and I have no problem now. I feel like I am a poster child for this surgery. My father lived to be 99 1/2. I now feel like I can beat that record!
