Aug 10, 2016 · A trip from a meningioma diagnose to a second life through UCLA

On November 2015 I was diagnosed with a meningioma in my head. It was big, and surgery was the only option. The natural thing was to have had surgery at my country but a dear friend told me about Dr. Neil Martin and the embolization process used at the  Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. First I had some doubts, why should I travel, use my medical insurance so far away from home. After a some calls I decided to travel to LA. I underwent major surgery on December 19th. Less than five days later I was released from the hospital. My recovery was amazing and I was able to spend Christmas with family and friends. I am very grateful and will never forget the kindness of all the hospital team. Thanks everyone for allowing me to have a new start.
