Description
Join the UCLA Health infectious disease specialists who led pioneering research on the HIV virus for a discussion on how their experience is translating into the development of new tools to fight COVID. The ‘drive-in-movie’-style community event will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 6 to 8 pm at The Grove Level 8 Parking Structure. Experts will discuss the similarities and differences between the two viruses, and outline how the UCLA Health CARE Center established in 1981 as one of the first research and treatment centers for HIV, is pivoting its infrastructure to manage national vaccine trials and COVID research. The event is free and includes dinner and validated parking, but reservations are required. Doors open at 5 pm, only two people per car, and for safety reasons, attendees can only participate if they arrive by and in a vehicle. The Grove is located at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, 90036. For more information or to register, visit https://app.anyroad.com/tours/bridging-the-gap-los-angeles/s8467d5c1
