Second surgery

My original thyroidectomy was 5 1/2 years ago. My globulin was always too high so I had followups every 3 months. I had two rounds of radioactive iodine but it still did not kill the cancer. My lymph node was growing rapidly so my endocrinologist referred me to Dr. Yeh. He scheduled surgery within the month. He took out 6 lymph nodes to remove the remaining cancer cells. As a side note, I had been worried about sharing a room in the hospital but at UCLA, each room has a single patient. My surgery was two weeks ago. The surgery and recovery were both easier than the first time. 10 days post-surgery I was hiking in Yosemite. My energy level is great. I fell 100% normal. And Dr. Yeh used the same incision site so I don't have a second scar.sideof
