“Our annual Heart Failure Symposium is for our UCLA team and the professional community interested in the latest advanced heart failure therapies,” says Melissa Moore, registered nurse and outreach coordinator for heart and lung transplants. “We want to build relationships and collaborate with physicians and practitioners in the community so that we can provide advanced cardiac therapies to patients who would not have the access to that at some of their community offices. It’s an all day event and we have around 200 attendees. We want to help more patients get the therapies they need so they’re able to have a better morbidity and better quality of life.”
