Dr. David Ghozland, best doctor alive!

By arinjhony arinjhony

On February 22, 2015, I gave birth at The Birthplace at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica to a beautiful baby girl named Kayli Herrera-Leon. Prior to giving birth, my OBGYN, Dr. David Ghozland made everything so much better. The nurses helped a WHOLE LOT as well, but Dr. Ghozland played a great part. He was willIng to do […]

David’s Journey: Ewing Sarcoma

By David david007

Our journey started back in 2014 when David was 3 years old. We took him to Children’s Orthopaedic in Los Angeles for pain on his left leg. He could not walk and he was in a lot of pain. This is where we meet Dr. Mauricio Silva. He took X-rays and wanted more exams. David needed an […]

Both knees replaced at UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica

By pat16 pat16

My husband had both knees replaced in 2016. Dr. Bruce Brown and his staff were outstanding! Dr. Brown is a caring man who makes you feel you are the only person he is treating – always showing patience when dealing with questions and concerns. His staff was equally helpful and caring at all times.

Dr. David Feazell is the best

By easterbunny easterbunny

My son’s original doctor could not see us because of our personal vaccine beliefs. My insurance hadn’t switched to the new doctor so we could only use urgent care for that month of insurance verification. We now have a new doctor who is from HEAVEN! Meaning, we have someone who cares about my son, like […]

From broken to healed

By mstriplem mstriplem

After getting a second opinion five years ago, I finally needed my repair. I wanted to thank my great UCLA cardiologist, Dr. Leigh Reardon, his great clinical team and my surgeon, Dr. Hillel Laks and his surgical team! They were all amazing in treating my condition. I am grateful for their skill, and most of […]

Breast cancer treatment

By pat16 pat16

I am thankful for the care from Dr. Amy Kusske and her team at UCLA Breast Center, Santa Monica. Dr. Kusske treated me 10 years ago and again in 2016. My chemo treatment was expertly managed by Dr. Parvin Peddi. I am cancer free after the chemo treatment and my breast surgery. While the diagnosis […]

If it weren’t for Dr. Berke, I wouldn’t be having a birthday today

By g2013 g2013

I had a very bad accident with among other injuries, a serious brain injury. Because of Dr. Berke, I was able to be transferred and seen by the best specialists at UCLA. The amount of care I received at UCLA was unprecedented and phenomenal from everyone. There are so many doctors and nurses and staff […]

UCLA Health is part of my family

By dggottakidney dggottakidney

I have been a patient at UCLA since 2000 when Dr. Urlich performed a reconstructive surgery . In 2010, UCLA Health’s ENT team once again performed a surgery, and in 2016, UCLA Health saved my life and gave me a kidney transplant performed by Dr. Jeffrey Veale.  As I write this, I am sitting on my bed […]

By anselsdaybreak anselsdaybreak

I can’t believe it has been ten years, but what I wrote to friends and family about our very first visit with our son’s neurologist, Dr. Jason Lerner, back in 2007 is still true: “He left us with the impression that excellent medical care and a friendly, compassionate bedside manner don’t have to be strangers.” […]

Gio’s Journey

By ronniesilveirajr ronniesilveirajr

“Your son has epilepsy.” Four words. Four terrifying words. Heartbreaking. Devastating. It is difficult to find words that best convey what a parent feels when they receive such a diagnosis in regards to their child. A frenzy of questions and concerns enter the mind at lightning speed along with a sense of dread that […]
