UCLA Health completes highest number of transplants in the U.S. for 2020-21

I am proud to share that UCLA Health completed more than 720 solid organ transplants this past year, which ranked us as the No. 1 transplant center in the country based on volume, tied with the University of Miami, Jackson Medical Center (for all organs) in 2020-21, according to recent transplant data provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN).

Thank you to our incredible transplant services team!

As a result of this team’s many accomplishments, we continue to be one of the largest solid organ transplant centers in the country with outstanding patient care outcomes. As a top transplant center, we also care for the most complex cases, which requires a highly talented and skilled team of health care professionals.

UCLA Health is also at the forefront of innovative transplant tolerance technology.
