Surprise After Surgery

“I came into the emergency room last night, and they told me they had to remove my appendix,” mentions 12-year-old Marco Bledo, a patient at the UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, who received some surprise visitors. “I had my surgery last night at midnight. I’m feeling better today. Everyone is nice here. I met the United Airlines crew, which I thought was pretty nice. I got the Ben Flyin bear today. I also had a visit from a dog, which was really great.” Marco’s mom, Marisol Rojas, adds, “If there is such a rating, I would say UCLA Health is perfect. They took good care of my son. They’re very compassionate and caring. I’m very grateful that we’re here.”
