Dogs Making a Difference
“We’re not curing cancer, but I know we’ve made a difference,” believes Anna Liau, a People-Animal Connection (PAC) volunteer. She volunteered during the annual Christmas caroling and dog parade at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. “Boba is a three-year-old French mastiff. We visit the hospital on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. This is our first time doing Christmas caroling. I don’t think Boba realized she wasn’t the only dog who volunteered, so it’s fun for her to get together with the other PAC teams and handlers. Bringing joy to the patients is awesome. It’s really meaningful.”
