‘Happy Holidays’
“The Student Affairs Office is actually serving the students during the Fall Gathering as a way to give back,” reflects Karen Chan, an academic support advisor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. “We’re serving turkey, salad, and sides. I’m serving turkey with no gravy, so this is for students who are gluten-free. It’s nice to have this yearly event for our students. My appointments with students are one-on-one, and I’ll see them in passing, but the Fall Gathering brings a pretty big crowd. It’s nice to see them face-to-face and give them a warm greeting before the holidays come around. Happy Holidays.”
