Giving to Others

“We’re having a fall Thanksgiving meal on top of a food drive for the Bruin Shelter,” says Kate Paulsen, a fourth-year student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, enjoying the Fall Gathering. “I donated some oatmeal, canned soup, and granola bars. I have so much, I feel it’s only right to give. I’m very lucky to be giving from a position of abundance, so it’s the least I can do. As a healthcare provider, we ideally provide medical care, but beyond that, I think it’s important that we do our part to help with nutrition and basic living needs.”
