A Milestone Year for Mattel Party on the Pier

By uclahealth

Beautiful Santa Monica weather provided the perfect backdrop for the 20th annual ‘Party on the Pier’. The event attracted more than 2,000 attendees this year, generating close to $1-million in contributions. Proceeds from the event will help provide unrestricted funding to launch high-priority programs that benefit children treated at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, and help support children’s health initiatives, research, and innovative discoveries.

Party guests played at the number of carnival booths with toy prizes provided by presenting sponsor Mattel Inc. Guests also enjoyed unlimited access to ride attractions, photo booths, celebrity meet-and-greets, and a special performance by the Beat Buds. The Goldhirsh-Yellin Foundation and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation also sponsored two special VIP tents, with retired Dodger players on hand to sign autographs and take pictures.

We would also like to give special thanks to other major sponsors, including the Michael and Lori Milken Family Foundation, Iris and Michael Smith, Cognizant, Dr. Neal Cutler and Beth Cutler, Dr. Organic Mommy, Mia and John Janick, the Littman Family, and Ellen and Richard Sandler.
