Ukelele for U

“I started watching music therapy videos online and was really inspired,” recalls Grace Pak, a music therapy intern at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. “I have always loved music and serving others. Music therapy puts my two favorite things together. It’s a privilege for me to spend time with these families and patients. It’s an honor to provide joy and the power of music. We’re able to give our ukelele’s to kids who want to learn. Donors provide the ukeleles and we give therapeutic lessons, and the patient gets to take it home. I’m really lucky to have the opportunity to work at UCLA Health with all the awesome, passionate, and kind-hearted team members here.”
