Finally Able to Relax and Look Forward

“In the beginning, I felt overwhelmed because everyone said, ‘You should go here’ or, ‘You should go there,’ but I really appreciate that I was told to go to UCLA Health,” confesses 44-year-old Hannah Yoon. Yoon was diagnosed triple positive for breast cancer in August 2016.
“I had a double mastectomy and finished my treatments in 2018. It’s been really difficult. I’m so thankful and appreciative of all my care. The Breast Cancer Spa Day is such a nice break, and everybody there is very kind. I went to the skin care seminar and I feel like my skin is a lot better, a lot less dry. It feels like I can get back on board with being healthy, that I can live past this. I try not to dwell on the cancer. I want to use this experience and be thankful while looking forward.”
