Project Search Graduation
“This has been our most exciting graduation. You can feel the energy and the excitement,” celebrates Kristin DiMirez, senior Consultant of Talent Acquisition. “This program is called UCLA Health Project Search, and we are partners with the West Side Regional Center, PathPoint, and UCLA Extension. This program was started in 2010 when we found there was a need in the community to serve those who had developmental disabilities and maybe had a harder time finding jobs. When the students graduate, they receive a certificate of completion from UCLA Health and the West Side Regional Center provides job developers to help them find work after graduation. Every year since the program has started, we’ve been able to hire one or more of the graduates into UCLA Health. These graduates bring a level of energy and enthusiasm unmatched by any other employee.”
