Not Just Patients, But People

By uclahealth

“One of the great things about this conference, and something that I always find beautiful, is that the patient perspective is felt,” says Daniel Chambers, program manager for the UCLA Office of Continuing Medical Education. “This is the 8th annual UCLA Heart Failure Symposium and we have about 150 health professionals from all over California and the United States. There is a lot of talk about state-of-the-art updates in heart failure and the main goal is to educate our attendees on updates in heart transplant. We also want to let the attendees see the continuity of care aspect. It’s not all just a quick transplant, it’s the counseling before and post-transplant. These people are not just patients, they’re human beings.”
