Gaining Skill Set to Innovate

“My research has been on wearable robotics for rehabilitation or assistance,” muses Gil Hernstadt, an engineer in the new UCLA BioDesign Program. “This is the third or fourth day of the boot camp and this group is great. Everyone is very smart and I’m excited."

"One of the goals for this program is to give us the tools and skillset to be innovators and to be key players in creating technologies and translating them into something that can last. It would be great to create a new technology that actually becomes a product.”
