Excited About Immersion & Innovation

“I started my academic career in engineering, went to med school and then took a year off for business school,” explains I. Obi Emeruwa, MD, MBA, a member of the new UCLA Biodesign Program. “I saw the email announcing the launch of the UCLA Biodesign Program and thought this is everything I’ve tried to do in my life. It’s the ideal way to combine all the things I’m interested in. I’m excited about seeing the scope of healthcare innovation and the dedicated immersion exposure through this program. There is planned immersion in clinical settings, meeting venture capitalists and seeing different startup companies. I feel like there is a good balance between the social aspects and exposure to the material. So far it’s been great.”
