“You never know what could happen inside of the hospital,” says Araceli Castaneda, a security dispatcher for the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. “We receive emergency and non-emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We assist everybody in the hospital: staff members, visitors, and patients. They send us out for training so we know how to respond to any event that could happen. We want to make this a safe hospital. Every day is a learning experience and I like that every day is something new.”
