Nursing Knowledge

By uclahealth

“Nursing has been my dream job ever since I was a kid,” says Casey Kennedy, a nursing volunteer at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. “We help out the nurses and assist the care partners with the patientsand stuff around the floor. The care partners and nurses teach me their ways of doing things. They explain why they do certain things and it gives me a good head start on what I’m going to be doing in the future. I’m on a pediatric rotation right now, andI fell in love. I knew I wanted to do nursing, but I didn’t know what area. Now I know for sure that I want to do something with children.”
