There Is A Plan
“Having a child with asthma can be frightening,” says Brian, father to 2-year-old Finn, who brought his son to see UCLA pediatric pulmonologist Sande Okelo, MD. “There have been some nights were we were really unsure about what to do. The one really positive aspect of our care at UCLA has been that there is a plan that is clearly spelled out. We identify what health zone we are in with Finn — is he in a good zone, a questionable zone or are we in a zone where we really need to seek out help? It has really helped to guide us in the times when we’re unsure about what to do. It helps us know if we are being overconcerned or if we need to be more concerned. We just want him to be on a path to being healthy.”
