Supported by Staff
"It’s hard to explain, but when you feel so frustrated and worried, and then you have support, it eases the worry a little bit,” says Trang Ngo-Beteta, mother to Theo Beteta, a patient of UCLA pediatric pulmonologist Diana Chen, MD. “All the nurses and doctors in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are amazing. They really helped me feel that I could handle what was going on, I felt very supported. Theo was just diagnosed with asthma, and it’s an ongoing process, trying to figure out the best path, but you can tell when someone really loves his or her job and cares. I’ve seen that with all the staff here, and I know they’re providing the best care that anyone could hope for.”
