Golden PICU Nurses
“It’s exciting and an honor to receive the Gold Level Beacon Award for Excellence,” says Theresa Kirkpatrick, clinical nurse specialist in the pediatric intensive care unit at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital. “This award from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses is a validation for our nurses and the difference that they make in these patients’ lives every day. It’s not just management telling them they’re doing a good job, their work is being recognized by a national care committee. I’m so proud of our nurses and the care that they deliver.”
