Research data and support systems
Dr. Mihaela Taylor has recently put together group meetings for her patients that have both rheumatology issues and fibromyalgia. In these meetings, she reviews the latest research and information to help us self-manage our disease in addition to the steps that she takes during our 1:1 appointments. The groups also get a chance to talk to each other about their difficulties and successes, which is a wonderful way to get additional helpful information and feel less alone in our struggles, especially since there is often an underlying emotional component to these diseases. I know that Dr. Taylor worked with Dr. Fogelman to make these meetings available to us, and they are MUCH appreciated.
