All's well that ends well

UCLA Health article

I am a student and I am taking a class where we had to monitor our blood pressure. Mine was high so I went to UCLA Health. I was examined by a cardiologist and scans were done but they did not find the reason for the high blood pressure so I was referred to an endocrinologist. Blood tests were done and one hormone was high so I had a CT scan. They found a growth on my left adrenal gland. On December 1, they put me under and drew blood and determined the left adrenal gland needed to be removed. The surgery was done on December 12. They scheduled it so I could take my exam on the 11th. (I did well on the exam.)Dr. Livhits did the surgery and it was not as scary as I thought. The relief was that it was benign. Everything had been fully explained to me so I knew what to expect every step of the way. The team was very compassionate.
