My Short Story
I had a routine test - a blood panel- and was told my calcium level was high. I was referred to an endocrinologist who told me I needed to have it out. I did my own research and confirmed that my parathyroid needed to be removed.
My daughter has been a nurse here at UCLA for 13 years so she was with me. I met the magnificent, talented, outstanding Dr. Yeh. I liked him a lot.
During the surgery, he determined that 3 1/2 parathyroids needed to be removed. I feel a lot better now.
