Not necessarily the 4th of July Celebration my wife and I were expecting

UCLA Health article

On July 4th 2016, my wife and I were driving home from a concert and got into a terrible car accident. We were both injured and were taken to a local hospital. We decided to hire an attorney that recommended that we have MRIs done due to aches and pains as a result of the accident. A doctor reviewed my MRI and happened to notice a mass on my thyroid and recommended that I have it biopsied. It ended up being papillary thyroid cancer. My wife has a very good friend that had the same diagnosis many years ago. She came to UCLA for surgery and shared nothing but positive feedback from her UCLA experience.

Dr. Livhits is the doctor that was highly recommended to me and my wife and she assured us that she would do her best. She did! Dr. Livhits demonstrates the compassion that is needed for anyone going through the same diagnosis and surgical treatment that I did. She is a very sweet person and I consider myself very fortunate to have her as our surgeon.
