I never even knew it was there until I had a CAT scan. I'd never heard of it, so when I found out about my diagnosis of a tumor on my adrenal gland I was a bit scared. The doctor recommended that I see Dr. Lihvits, and after meeting with her she explained to me the condition and the possible risk factors of not doing surgery. She laid out all the information for me to make my own decision. I came in 2 weeks ago for surgery early in the morning, and I didn't feel pain or uncomfortable afterwards to the extent of needing painkillers. The day after, I was able to walk around and continue my daily activities. Today, I'm experiencing some pain but I know that this pain will go away after a few months. Looking back, the surgery wasn't anything like I expected. I was initially reluctant to get surgery, but I'm glad I went through with it.
