Let go and let others take care of you
Events in your life may be just a coincidence - things you don't know about may turn out to be the best and most transformative events in your life.
I don't think it was a coincidence that Dr. Yeh's name came up several times when I asked around. A cousin on the East Coast who is an endocrinologist mentioned him. A surgeon is a certain kind of person and you want to choose one who is on top of the research and has done a lot of surgeries.
Dr. Yeh performed the surgery and it seems that it was successful. Nothing is certain but you have to maintain confidence.
It is a scary process - you have to be an advocate for your own health but you have to also put your faith and trust in your doctor and let go.
