He’s saving my son’s life!

On April 5th, 2013 we were told that our son Sam, who had just turned 10, had Leukemia. The shock of hearing this is beyond belief. It was in the very early hours of a Friday morning (and we had been awake all Thursday night as they admitted Sam to the hospital from the ER and started giving him blood transfusions). These next few days are still vivid and yet a blur at the same time. After the weekend in the hospital we were then introduced to Dr. Theodore (Ted) Moore on Monday. He connected really well with Sam and was able to explain to him in gentle terms what was happening and why. He has been incredibly kind and patient to take the time to listen to a frightened Mom and explain everything going on, every step of the way. Leukemia is a very long treatment process (it's the longest of all cancers), so almost 3 years later we are still undergoing treatment and we have 5 more months to go. I am so incredibly grateful to Dr. Ted Moore, his incredible team, the amazing nurses at the outpatient clinic "the boat", and the staff at the hospitals for the love, care and commitment they show every single day. They are saving my son Sam's life (he's now a proud 13 year old). Sam has some very big plans for his life and I know that Dr. Moore will always be apart of ours.
