Leukemia diagnosis for my son Sam

By vmbathfield

My son Sam was 10 years old and 1 month on the day he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He had been so excited for his 10th birthday. Double digits was a big deal. Little did we know that 30 days later things would be an even bigger deal. He was diagnosed with ALL. We are 3.2 years into the treatment with just 8 months to go. It has certainly been a very trying and challenging journey and we'd love to help anyone who is just starting on the journey or anyone who needs support. As a parent, I'm also co-chair of the Parent Advisory Council at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA so welcome any feedback or support you need.
